Members of Congress tell Dow to clean up Bhopal

Nearly 30 House members support Bhopal survivors’ demands of U.S. chemical maker
The City of Berkeley today passed a resolution supporting justice for survivors of the Bhopal gas disaster on its 25th anniversary. In it, the city resolved to write a public letter to the Dow Chemical Company asking it to accept liability for the disaster and divest from Dow Chemical Company shares till such a time. In addition, proclaimed December 3, 2009 as Berkeley Day of Remembrance for Victims of Industrial Pollution in Bhopal.
